About Gustavo
When I was younger, I found mathematics to be intimidating and cold. That all changed with the help of several enthusiastic teachers in high school and university - now I am a full-time researcher in dynamical systems, the area of mathematics devoted to things that evolve in time.

Most of mathematics can be understood in several different ways. Thus, in a lesson, I aim to find together with the student which way is most suited to them. This usually lasts around an hour, but can extend to an hour and a half as the student completes exercises to gauge their understanding of what we discussed. I have a master's degree in applied mathematics and am currently working towards a PhD in maths. Previously, I've worked as teaching assistant to a graduate-level course at the University of São Paulo and at an international conference on mathematical biology.
