About Ollie
I've spent the last 2 years as learning support, working with 16+ students who are retaking GCSEs. Confidence can be such a difficult thing to find in a subject you don't understand, and that's a big part of my approach; taking a gentle approach and moving at a steady pace until students fully understand the questions, instead of just getting some right and some wrong.

My area of expertise is GCSE retakes, helping school leavers (16+) finally get a maths GCSE, or any secondary students (11+) who might be struggling to understand the content. Lessons are 30 minutes or 1 hour. The latter is recommended.
The style of my lessons can be an open book. It's important for me to build a relationship with my students to learn what lets them learn the best. If a student wants to learn a specific unit or topic I would explain the premise and take them through questions that rise in difficulty until they feel confident in an hour session. Completing homework would be more common in a half-hour session.
