About Lulu
Hi, I'm Lulu! I love all manners of puzzles and games. I recently graduated with a 1st Class Honours degree in Mathematics from Durham University, where my final project was about a peculiar class of mathematical objects called matroids. I am well versed in calculus, statistics and topology. I enjoy sharing my love of maths with others.
At GCSEs, I achieved five 9s (one of which was in maths), three 8s, A* in further maths, and an A in my HPQ. At A-Levels, my grades were A*A*AA, with the top grades in maths and further maths.
I am absolutely devoted to my ragdoll cat, Evie, she is divine and faultless in my eyes- if you're lucky, she may make an appearance.

I offer a highly personalised service and cater directly to the student. Working methodically through target areas with plenty of examples and detailed discussion of different methods or the theory behind the maths. I endeavour to tutor in an interactive and enjoyable manner, and at a pace tailored to the student.
Lessons typically last an hour, however this is subject to the client's wishes. So far, I have conducted over 300 hours of tutoring lessons. I have been tutoring secondary school students for their GCSEs for the past five years, and recently taught the maths content for a Graduate Records Examinations (GRE) test, which is an admissions test widely used by universities abroad.
I am happy to tutor for GCSEs, A-Levels and other maths content to all ages. Please ask about the provision of other subjects. I can also provide exam and revision tips if desired.
Feedback has suggested that my students feel more confident in their maths ability, and are often more inclined to participate and help their peers in their classes.

I studied alongside Lulu for my degree in mathematics. Lulu was always willing to take the time to help me with any work I was struggling with and she was able to explain the problems in a way that helped me approach them correctly. Details
The rate advertised is for GCSE tuition. For higher levels of education, higher hourly rates apply. Packages are available in multiples of 10 hours: there is a 5% discount for 10 hours, and a 10% discount for packages of 20+ hours.
While I tutor mainly online, I can offer in person tuition if the location is very local to me. For in person tutoring, I add a surcharge of 25% the hourly rate to account for travel and resources.
Rates are liable to increase as the academic year gets closer to exam periods (May-June), and at the start of a new tax year (April). This may not be reflected accurately in my advert.
