About Ewan
I'm currently studying Mechanical Engineering at university, having just completed my first year. Before that, I achieved four A*s at A Level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, and nine Grade 9s (plus one 8) at GCSE. Also selected to tutor for MyTutor, a leading UK tutoring platform, having passed their demanding academic and interview requirements. I really enjoyed school, but I also know how tough it can be to get the support you need in a busy classroom. For me, having a tutor made a huge difference — it helped me grow in confidence and deepen my understanding, especially in subjects I found more challenging. That experience inspired me to become a tutor myself, so I can help others reach their full potential in the same way.

Ewan knows his subject really well, and is good at explaining it. He achieved astonishingly high scores in his UK exams in both A-level Maths (297/300) and A-level Further Maths. He can help bring maths alive by explaining its relevance to practical applications such as engineering (which he is studying for his degree). He is also just a lovely person.
Ewan is a brilliant tutor, very friendly and explained things clearly and concisely. He helped me understand maths problems which had always confused me! I went from getting 6s to 8s and even a 9 preparing for GCSEs.
Ewan is reliable and patient and would be the perfect tutor for anyone struggling with maths or other subjects, or who wants to build on existing skills.
