About Jonathan
My name is Jonathan Holt and I have taught many subjects in the U.K.
Starting as a Physics teacher, I have also taught Astronomy, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Drama, ICT, English and I am also an FA qualified Football Coach. I always fully committed to teaching and tried to involve myself fully in the daily life of the school, to the point where I was asked to play “Pop” a character in the musicalbased on the music of rock group Queen. (Pop is the comedy relief - an ageing hippy) and I loved it.

I have always believed that if a student walks into my classroom smiling, and walks out an hour later still smiling, then that is an achievement for both of us.
I also believe that given enough 1-1 time I can raise any student’s grade by at least 1 more likely 2 with the co-operation of the student. At school I was never the brightest in the class but with hard work and determination ended up studying at Oxford University as a Post Graduate as a member of The Queens’ College, eventually having a successful career as a teacher, Head of Department and Head of Post-16 Education.
