About Cole
I am young guy with a BS in Statistics degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. I remember what it felt like having tutors that were 60-70 and them not understanding my confusion about a concept and the frustration that came along with it. Math is hard, no doubt about it, but it is the building blocks of the world around us as almost everything can be related to some sort of mathematical concept (most you won't even realize). I'm a tutor that wants you to succeed, and will strive to ensure that you will. Math may not be your passion, and I'm not going to force it to be, but what I can do is help you understand it's relevance and give you the tools and tricks that I picked up through my education!

I tutor students specifically from middle school through High school (5-12) on a variety of topics, like Algebra, trig, geometry...etc. I teach a typical lesson plan, based on what the student is wanting to learn/having issues with. We start off getting to know where they are comfortable, and then push on to see their limits (This is done either through a test administered by me, or practice problems I create on the spot for specific issues). After seeing where they need to start, I used real world examples, like word problems, to get the mathematics to seem more tangible and get the student more comfortable to using the concepts in practice. I do it this way so they can visualize exactly how the concepts they are learning might apply to themselves in the real world.
