About Wylie
Hi, my name is Wylie Tharp, I am a Mathematics major at City College of New York. Math has always been a source of beauty and intrigue in my life, and I want to help you feel the same way! It doesn't have to be trivial and confusing like it sometimes feels, and it's truly unfortunate how many people have it ruined for them by school. I take tutoring very seriously and am dedicated to helping my students understand, and if I'm lucky, enjoy the subject of mathematics. I never want any of my students to think I am someone there to force them through problems, we are there together to work towards a greater understanding!

Hi! My name is Wylie and I am a math student at City College of New York and would love to help you with math. If you or your child are struggling or just want to get a leg up in any math topic from arithmetic to precalculus, I'm your guy!
Lessons are based on wherever you are, I know math can be a really frustrating subject, my goal is to help smooth over the bumps that might trip you up. After learning where you are in the subject you are taking, lessons will start with a basic overview of the principles, and then move into a collaborative teaching method where we break down what you understand and what you don't. The benefit of one on one tutoring is that you can't get left behind like in a big class, we can work together to create a lasting understanding of whats going on in all those numbers.
