About Amy
I am a student studying Mathematics at Imperial College London, and am passionate about inspiring others to be excited by maths the way I am. In sixth form, I used to help out other 17 or 18 year old students every lunchtime in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics on problems they were stuck on. I achieved 4 A*s at A Level, including Mathematics and Further Mathematics and received an award for my academic achievements by my sixth form.

I offer classes for students of any level up to and including A Level Mathematics (and Further Mathematics).
I will start a session by going over any problems my student has had problems with: we will approach the question step by step so that I can find out which exact bit understanding is lacking and will explain this until they feel comfortable with their understanding. I will also provide other ways of solving the problem as this can help develop a student's intuition for future problems.
I will then move on to teaching my student the next part of the syllabus (or whatever they want to go over) and will give them related quesions to go away and try to solve. It is important that they consolidate what they have learnt and it will help them discover if they understand everything fully.
