About Erik
Graduated from Morehouse College in 2006 with a B. S. in Mathematics. I was a high school mathematics teacher for 8 years. Currently, I am a Mathematics Content Specialist at a university. I have instructed various mathematical topics such as Algebra 1, Algebra 2, SAT/ACT prep, AP Stats, and etc.

My approach to tutoring to a student is "I Do, We Do, You Do." In any lesson, we will discuss previous knowledge before doing the task at hand. I explain topics in such a matter that it is simple to grasp.

Perfect! My son thinks Erik is a rock star. He's never had anyone sit down and explain things in a way that he connects with. He actually looks forward to tutoring and starts preparing and putting his things together well before Erik arrives. We are so grateful for Erik and his expertise. After the first lesson my son said "I actually feel confident now". His grades have improved, but that wasn't our target. We asked Erik to help him not only learn the math, but to be able to understand and apply it to actual concepts. We didn't want Braxton tutored just to pass the SOL, because that doesn't really serve him in life. Erik is teaching him math concepts that he will use forever. Thank you, Erik!!!!
