I am a recent mathematics graduate with a keen interest in helping students fulfill their potential in the field of maths. I believe maths is an intuitive field that everyone has the ability to comprehend when taught in a caterted to way for each individual need.

My approach varies depending on the student’s needs and learning style. My teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. I start from topics the students are comfortable with and move gradually, as their confidence builds, towards more complex areas. I use questions and examples to check understanding continually. I focus on exam-style and past paper questions in order to check, practice and perfect the student’s understanding and technique. Lesson lengths would typically be a minimum of 1 hour and are aimed at 11+ and GCSE students.
