About Ciara
I am a Mathematics graduate from the University of Nottingham. I have always been fascinated by maths and found it to be something that comes easier than other subjects - I hope to make you feel the same! I understand the difficulties and frustrations when studying maths in school and aim to help students through those. My lesson plans are flexible, I encourage my students to discuss anything they are having problems with and we can help them through this. I aim to make maths more enjoyable and less of a chore!

The structure of my lessons normally includes a starter aimed to consolidate last week's learning followed by an introduction to that week's topic. We will go through a mix of questions where I will sometimes take the lead and once the student feels more confident, I will encourage them to handle the question themselves on the interactive whiteboard. Finally, we will complete a check at the end to see what we've learnt and identify any areas of improvement.
