About Mate
Throughout the last 4 years of my life I was involved in countless of tutorials during my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, where I gained considerable experience at working with people. In these sessions I took a mentoring role on several occasions, explaining concepts to other people in the group. This is where I realised how much I enjoy explaining concepts to others.
I have developed a keen sense of empathy, where I put myself in the position of others in order to work out where their misunderstanding is coming from.

As a Maths graduate, I have an excellent understanding of the fundamentals of Mathematics. This includes GCSE and A-Level Mathematics as well as A-Level Further Mathematics.
Throughout my studies I have noticed that almost all problems in Maths can be broken down to simple and understandable steps.
My methodology for teaching is built around this idea:
Firstly, I figure out what points of the topic my student has an understanding of, and which points create lack of understanding or confusion. With this knowledge, I then bridge the gap between these two point using elementary steps.
Finally, when understanding is established, we solidify it using examples.
