About Jamie
I'm an analytics engineer born and raised on a council estate in East London. I have a fantastic career in management consulting, first one in my family to go uni straight from A-levels. I got 17 GCSEs by the end of year 11, 7 of them A*'s and 5 A's. I did maths, further maths, physics, chemistry and biology for my A-levels. Given my background I feel it's my responsibility to pass on my skills to the next generation, and I love to teach!

I'm obsessed with using analogies to bring maths to life - comparing it to everyday activities to make it something physical and real, that you can visualise in your mind to make solving a problem easier. I love to draw pictures and diagrams to work towards a solution - you'll often find me armed with colourful pens or using a touchscreen laptop as a whiteboard when teaching virtually. I can teach any age up to and including A-level, I'm fantastic with children and I can flex my style for both extroverted and introverted individuals. I've got extensive experience tutoring, I work in a company of 2000+ people where I'm the go-to for sharing skills and knowledge in some specific tools and technologies, and people love learning from me and with me. Lessons can range from 1-3 hours (with breaks) depending on your wants and needs! Happy to discuss and find a pattern that works best for you.
