About Carl
My passion for mathematics began with a fascination for patterns, numbers, and logical thinking in everyday life. This led me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Pure Mathematics, where I studied algebra, calculus, geometry, and probability, developing both technical knowledge and problem-solving strategies that I could share with learners.
Over the past 9 years of teaching, I have worked with students at all levels, from beginners to advanced learners preparing for exams or competitions. My teaching approach emphasizes patience, clarity, structured problem-solving, and real-world examples that make abstract concepts tangible and understandable. I encourage students to explore ideas, ask questions, and build confidence in their abilities.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring mathematical puzzles, applications of math in science and technology, and current research topics. Bringing these insights into lessons keeps content fresh, engaging, and relevant. Teaching mathematics is rewarding because I witness students develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and confidence, enabling them to approach challenges with competence and curiosity.

My mathematics lessons focus on nurturing both understanding and application of mathematical concepts. Many learners struggle when they memorize formulas without grasping the underlying principles. I begin lessons by solidifying foundational skills such as arithmetic operations, fractions, decimals, percentages, and basic algebra. Each session is interactive, encouraging students to ask questions, explore methods, and solve problems in a supportive environment that balances challenge with guidance.
Once learners are comfortable with basics, lessons progress to algebra, geometry, functions, and probability. I emphasize practical applications, showing how math relates to everyday life, science, and technology. Step-by-step explanations, worked examples, and practice exercises ensure that learners internalize techniques while developing logical thinking. Feedback and repetition reinforce learning, helping students build confidence and independence.
The ultimate goal of my lessons is to make mathematics understandable, enjoyable, and empowering.
