About Caitlyn
I am a college sophomore studying to be a high school math teacher. I am taking classes on how to best help students in these courses, which I have gone through myself. I have a passion for helping students understand, unlike the teachers who use their profession as a fallback.
I scored a 5 on both the AP Physics C: Mechanics and and the AP Calculus AB exams. I additionally scored a 1490 on the SAT. Since then, I have maintained high grades in my college classes.
I know I’m not perfect, but I will do my best to show students what to do and why it works that way. I will acknowledge my mistakes, and avoid becoming frustrated with the students I help.
Teaching is not a burden. It is not simply a job. It is making an effort to reach your students and show them you care, while giving them the knowledge they need to succeed in the world.

I have a passion for helping high school students through the mathematics-based courses they may not understand. Whether that’s algebra, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, or even chemistry or physics, I want to help concepts click for students in a way some teachers simply don’t have the time to do.
One-on-one sessions means I will do my best to learn exactly what the student does and does not understand, and will walk them through the process one step at a time until they are confident in their abilities.
Sessions will be customized according to the student, but will likely include review of previous material, an explanation of the next steps, discussion, practice problems, and a final review for each lesson.
