About Elizabeth
Hello! I recently graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Science in Honours Mathematics. I have over 5 years of experience in tutoring and 3 in working as a teaching assistant. I am familiar with the BC Math Curriculum for elementary and high school students as well as AP Calculus AB/BC.
In addition, I am able to tutor a variety of topics at the university level, including Calculus, Linear Algebra, Mathematical Logic and Probability. I am also open to tutoring upper-level pure mathematics such as Real Analysis and Group / Ring Theory at a slightly higher rate.

Through my years of tutoring and my own experience as a student, I have observed that learning is most effective when the student approaches the subject with an open mind and a belief in their ability to learn. I will do my best to help you develop such a mindset, which I hope will serve you well not only in your current math classes but anything you will learn in the future!
In your first lesson, I will ask for an overview of your mathematical background and your intended topics of study. If you are receiving tutoring alongside a class, I will base our lessons around the syllabus and course materials. If you are preparing ahead of time for a class you plan to take in the future, or are simply learning a topic out of interest, I will help you develop a lesson plan for the upcoming weeks and provide recommendations for material.
