About Isabella
I graduated with a Mathematical Sciences degree from Clemson University and I want to make math more enjoyable for my students! As a student, I always focused on understanding the math, and not just memorizing formulas, so I find ways to explain concepts in a way that my students will understand. I have privately tutored a variety of middle schoolers, as well as volunteered to tutor elementary students. In the volunteer program, my student was able to meet program goals and passed all given "checkpoint" exams. We will work together to reach your goals!

It's very important for me to get to know my students and how they learn best. I like to ask questions for my students to get to the right answer - I'll never just give it! I typically like to go over what the student is learning and struggling with and prioritize those topics, repeating trouble areas as needed whether that is specific homework problems to complete or reviewing class notes. If I see class notes, I can create new problems similar to what might be asked in class. My goal is to instill as much confidence as possible in all of my students. I have experience tutoring elementary through middle school mathematics.
