About Joel
I'm Joel, a mathematician and software developer from the Riverland with a love for exploring new concepts, learning and helping others do the same!
With a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science as well as secondary school ATAR of 98.50 (Specialist Mathematics, Maths Methods) I am well qualified to tutor High School Maths and more than comfortable providing extension as needed.
Coming from a regional area I also have a passion for people and community, which has found me volunteering with indigenous communities on the Yorke Peninsula, youth camps, refugee support programs, disability services etc. I believe these experiences with a wide range of people help me bring a relatable, human side to my style of teaching.
I have tutored both adult and student learners over the last 5 years, and also teach piano and coding.
