About Nicolas
With over 4 years of hands-on tutoring experience in France, I have helped 30+ students from high school to senior college level build a strong and lasting foundation in mathematics. My teaching journey includes leading a senior-level class, where I developed the ability to break down complex concepts into clear, digestible lessons tailored to each student's pace and learning style.

My teaching philosophy is built on two core pillars: clarity and visualization. As an engineer, I believe that every mathematical concept — no matter how abstract — can be made tangible when broken down into logical, step-by-step reasoning supported by clear visual explanations.
Rather than simply presenting formulas to be memorized, I walk students through the reasoning behind each step, using diagrams, graphs, and worked examples to make the logic visible. My goal is not just to help you solve a problem today, but to build the kind of deep understanding that lets you tackle any variation of it tomorrow.
While online sessions are possible, I strongly prefer in-person tutoring. There is simply no substitute for sitting side by side with a student — drawing figures, sketching schematics, and working through equations together on paper. It creates a more natural connection, allows for richer explanations, and makes the learning experience far more engaging and effective.
With over four years of mathematics tutoring experience in France, including leading a senior-level class, I have shaped a mature, student-centered teaching style. My passion for teaching is not just a job — it is a genuine commitment to every student's success.
My lessons are open to a wide range of students, from high school looking to strengthen their mathematical foundations, to undergraduate students navigating more advanced coursework, all the way to graduate-level candidates preparing for the GRE or GMAT Quantitative sections. I offer a free first session of one hour to every new student. This initial meeting is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss your current situation, academic goals, and objectives, and together determine the number of sessions and a rate that works for you. Pricing is tailored to the level of study:
1) high school level: $40/h
2) college/ undergraduate-level: $50/h
3) GRE/GMAT quant preparation: $60/h
