About Zack
I graduated from Tufts University in Boston with a degree in Economics. Before working in the education industry, I was in California working for Pacific Gas and Electric, a utility company. I enjoyed my early career at PG&E, but after helping students in a part-time capacity, I knew my true calling was to help motivated people achieve academic success.
When not tutoring, I like to ice skate, hike, read, spend time with family, and do some light and personal studing on subjects like Physics and Philisophy.

My lessons focus on providing the most value for an hour of time, and I have found addressing homework first is key. This approach allows me to quickly understand a student's strengths and weaknesses. Also, completing homework serves as a great incentive to keep them focused.
During homework help, if a student repeatedly struggles with a question type (say balancing an algebraic equation) then we will immediately address that skill through explanations, more questions, and repeating concepts back to me in their own words.

Perfect! Highly recommend Zack, he was patient, knowledgeable, courteous, and timely.
Perfect! Zach was such a patient and helpful tutor. He really took his time to teach and help me in my Statistics class. I would really recommend him as a tutor for all math concepts.
Perfect! Zack was great I was not paying attention in stats at all and in 2 sessions he helped me go from knowing very little to getting a 97 on my project and 85 on my test. Without his help I would’ve for sure failed both!!
Perfect! Zack was amazing! He did an hour review with my daughter for a math final that she was really worried about. He explained everything so thoroughly she was able to really process the material and she ended up getting 100% on the test! Definitely recommend and will use him again!

Perfect! I went to Zack for help with the math Praxis. I found him to be very knowledgeable on the subject matter and understood my deficiencies and what I needed to learn in order to pass. Zack is not only patient, but also very encouraging. His manner is easy and he creates an environment that is conducive to learning. As an older student, Zack made me comfortable in understanding what I did not know. He wanted me to understand the "why" behind the complicated equations so that I would be successful in answering any question. He gave me the tools and the confidence to successfully pass the test. He may even have gone so far as to make me believe that math can be fun! Zach has been tutoring my son for a few months. Zach has been professional, prompt, and considerate. We have seen an improvement in our son completing homework and understanding assignments since Zach has been working with him.
