About Caitlin
Each student is unique as well as worthy and capable of learning. I was not a student who immediately understood new concepts as a child and I often struggled to apply learned concepts to new situations. But once I understood my own learning style and needs, my academics and my confidence improved as well. It is a welcomed challenge to help each individual find their learning style and help them feel confident in their work and abilities. I respect your time and ask that you respect mine as well. I welcome any materials you have from school or other that give insight into how you are being taught in your usual environment as this helps bridge the gap in different strategies as well. Our success only increases with as many resources as we can use!

Math is not a "one size fits all" subject. There are many ways to learn math concepts that bring confidence and success. I take time to cater to each learner to ensure concepts are understood and offer different methods for understanding, some of which are direct and indirect instruction, listed steps, reverse understandings, and real-world applications. I prefer to work with elementary to college, specializing in arithmetic, pre-algebra, algebra, and statistics.
