My Tutoring Approach:
As a tutor, I focus on making math less intimidating and more understandable by breaking down complex problems into simple, manageable steps. I use real-life examples, visual aids, and interactive problem-solving to keep students engaged and help concepts stick. My goal is to build confidence along with skills, encouraging students to ask questions and think critically.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Each session starts with a quick check-in to see how the student is feeling about their current material. Then we go over recent assignments or lessons to identify any confusing areas. I guide the student through practice problems, offer tips and shortcuts, and use positive reinforcement to keep them motivated. We end each session with a recap and a quick plan for what to focus on next time.
What Sets Me Apart:
Though I’m not a certified teacher, I bring a strong passion for math and a patient, relatable approach that makes students feel comfortable. I know what it’s like to struggle with a subject and the difference the right explanation can make. I meet students where they are and adapt to their learning style.
Who I Tutor:
I offer tutoring for elementary to early high school students who need help with foundational math, pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry. Whether your child is falling behind, needs homework help, or just wants to boost their skills, I’m here to support them in a positive, judgment-free environment.
