About Lauren
As a former student that struggled in school, I find great fulfillment in helping students reach their potential in a subject that can be challenging to master. I have been teaching math for 5 years at both the college and undergraduate level and thrive on developing relationships with my students.

My teaching method revolves around discovering the method in which a student learns most effectively and meeting them there. With mathematical gaps common, it can be hard for a student to accept that they can grasp the material, just with a little extra time and practice. I work with students in a relaxed yet confidence-building atmosphere, celebrating every small victory along the way.

It's a privilege to write a recommendation for Lauren. She taught my 5th grader a few years ago and we've stayed in contact ever since. My daughter is now in 8th grade and still considers Lauren to be one of her all time favorite teachers. Prior to Lauren, she felt "stupid" in math. Lauren and her engaging teaching style made math fun for her. Perhaps more importantly, she gave my daughter a sense of confidence and mastery, so much so that when she entered 6th grade the following year, she tested into a 7th grade math class.
