About Thom
I am a recent college graduate passionate about physics and math, and I enjoy helping students understand and grasp the underlying concepts of these complex subjects. I have a bachelors in mathematics-physics with honors from Whitman College and have experience teaching students individually and in groups. I have physics research experience in theoretical nuclear physics and a passion for theoretical physics.

I take time to get to learn about students and prioritize teaching to each student's needs and learning style. I like to learn what material each student is learning in class and put my own spin on teaching the material to best convey concepts. A lesson might look like going over conceptual concepts, trying out practice problems, or going over old homework and past exams.
I primarily teach college students in introductory classes but also teach high school students college prep (AP, IB) and 3rd/4th-year classes.
