About Waleed
I’ve been tutoring Maths and Physics for the past three years, mainly helping GCSE and A-Level students. I really enjoy teaching because I like seeing students go from finding a topic difficult to being able to solve problems independently and confidently.
I want to make Maths and Physics feel less intimidating by breaking difficult concepts down into clear, manageable steps.

I’m a first-class Physics graduate from Queen Mary University of London and currently studying for a Master’s at Imperial College London. I achieved AAA at A-Level in Maths, Physics and Chemistry and have 3 years of tutoring experience, primarily teaching A-Level students. One of my former students went on to study at UCL.
I tutor Maths and Physics at GCSE and A-Level, working with students of all ages and abilities. My approach is exam-focused while prioritising genuine understanding. I want students not only to know how to answer a question, but to understand the underlying concepts so they can confidently tackle unfamiliar problems.
A typical lesson begins with a review of previous work to identify any gaps or areas that need reinforcement. I then introduce or explain the relevant concepts before working through examples with the student. Rather than simply giving students the answers, I encourage them to think through problems themselves, asking guiding questions and helping them develop their own problem-solving skills.
I adapt each lesson to the individual student, whether they need to strengthen their understanding of a particular topic, improve their exam technique, or work through challenging questions. As exams approach, I place greater emphasis on past papers, exam-style questions, timing and identifying common mistakes.
My main goal is to help students develop deeper subject understanding, stronger problem-solving skills and effective exam technique, ultimately giving them the confidence to achieve their potential.
