About Jim
I was born in Netherlands and migrated to Australia as a baby. I have enjoyed adventure ever since. I am the father of 4 adults, 3 of whom are teachers. I’m also step-father to 6 aged 12-22. As a teen I hitchhiked to every country in Europe, Scandinavia and some of North Africa. I recently hiked across Spain for 900 kms and will this year hike south to north of Holland.

Very friendly and approachable, so ready to engage with any student. Have traveled to many countries so understand cultural differences and needs. Fluent in English, written and spoken. Have learned French and Dutch and German so know what students experience as they struggle with a challenging subject like a second or third language.
