About Andreas
My teaching is based on my own massive interest in the material I pass on, as well as my great love for words.
In addition to my formal education (Business Economics and Philosophy) focusing on the political economy of Europe, I am extremely well read in continental European and Anglo-Saxon literature, and have seen enough films and TV to know my way around pop culture as well.
I am a musician, and my preferred way of staying sharp is by writing music and reading books. I am also a former competitive swimmer at the highest national level.
I have taught 7-9 classes for 4 years, took them to their exams and everything that goes with it.
Many of the things I know today, I have learned myself, and in my teaching I will let you in on all the little tricks needed to become really good at something.

My three principles for what a good teacher must be able to do:
- A teacher must know his subject by heart and want to pass it on.
- A teacher must be genuinely interested in his students.
- A teacher must establish a pressure- and stress-free teaching environment while being ambitious on behalf of the student.
My teaching will be based on exactly what you need. We make a review of your academic position, mapping out knowledge gaps, and draw up a plan based on the syllabus for how this course will look.
We will focus on you meeting the formal exam requirements, but I will focus just as much on establishing study habits and techniques that you will benefit from in other subjects.
Whether it is the English verbs, Romanticism and grammar, The Cold War or the political ideologies that proves to be difficult, I can help you out. And I promise it will not be boring.
