About Poppy
With more than 20+ years of teaching experience and over 5100 students successfully mentored, I have helped learners achieve significant progress in violin performance and musical understanding. My experience includes teaching beginners, intermediate players, advanced students, and aspiring performers preparing for recitals and examinations.
Many former students have participated in orchestras, chamber groups, competitions, concerts, and advanced music programs. Their accomplishments demonstrate the value of disciplined practice and expert musical guidance.
I believe the violin offers a unique combination of technical challenge and artistic beauty. My mission is to help learners develop confidence, musical sensitivity, and performance excellence while enjoying every stage of their musical development.

Violin lessons are designed to help learners build strong technique while developing expressive musical performance skills. Training includes posture, bowing techniques, intonation, rhythm accuracy, scales, sight reading, ear training, music theory, repertoire development, ensemble skills, and performance preparation. Lessons are structured to encourage steady improvement and long-term musical growth.
Students engage in technical exercises, performance practice, listening development activities, sight-reading sessions, musical interpretation workshops, and guided practice routines. Lessons focus on creating confidence and precision while helping learners enjoy the artistic side of violin performance.
Advanced learners explore advanced repertoire, expressive phrasing, audition preparation, solo performance techniques, ensemble leadership, advanced bow control, musical interpretation, and professional performance development.
