About Blaize
I started my musical journey at 4 years old with private guitar lessons from a great music teacher in my area. In my early years I learned how to play blues and rock guitar from the music of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, and many more. My weekly guitar lessons became my favorite activity that I made my parents let me have two every week. In middle school I decided to learn more about classical and jazz guitar. I took lessons from another classical guitar teacher in the area and dove deep into the classical guitar realm, while also playing in jazz bands and combos at my school. Eventually I went to Berklee college of music and studied jazz guitar with the greats: Cecil Alexander, Rick Peckham, John Baboian, Sheryl Bailey, and even managed to get a masterclass with Victor Wooten.
Taking private lessons has been the most helpful tool in my musical journey and I want to share the same feeling with my students. That is why I love teaching.

Perfect! Simplifies complex things really well.
Perfect! Blaize has a wealth of knowledge and conveys concepts in a clear, concise, and humble manner. Berklee has prepared him well and I am thrilled to have access to his knowledge. It has been many years since I studied at Berklee, hoping to reshape chops , sharpen theory and reignite musical passion. Time to get to work!

Blaize is wonderful! He’s teaching our daughter piano and is SO PATIENT. His explanations and expectations of her are very clear and achievable and he never gets upset or angry if she gets distracted. He’s very knowledgeable and encouraging. She looks forward to lessons every week and so do we! So thankful we found him and that he’s helping our girl learn a love of music.
Blaize is amazing! He has been teaching my son guitar for a year now and he has such a wonderful demeanor with him (he's 9 now).
