About Kyle
I'm Kyle Plummer, a Graphic Artist, Illustrator, and Video Editor with a passion for bringing creative visions to life through vibrant and compelling digital and print media. My academic journey at Cal State Dominguez Hills culminated in a B.A. in Motion and Entertainment, further solidified by a CTE Credential in Arts, Media, and Entertainment from the University of San Diego. These experiences have equipped me with a deep understanding of the creative process and the technical skills necessary to excel in the dynamic field of graphic design.
My career has been adorned with notable accolades, including being voted for one of the year's best redesigns for my collaborative work on the My Little Pony redesign with Hasbro. This acknowledgment, along with my consecutive publications in the prestigious LOGO LOUNGE for excellence in logo design, has been a testament to my commitment to excellence and innovation in my work.
I possess a comprehensive skill set that spans across the Adobe Creative Suite, encompassing Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects, as well as video editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro and AVID. My expertise also extends to branding and identity, typography, and illustration. These skills have enabled me to lead and contribute to a wide range of projects, from conceptualizing and implementing creative strategies for print and digital assets to managing branding guidelines and producing marketing materials for high-profile clients and projects.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with diverse organizations, including Cypress Ave. Media, Trilogy Tactics, Kern High School District, Bolthouse Farms, UNLV Media, Hasbro Toys, Lyric Culture, and TOKYOPOP Inc. My role as a Graphic Art Instructor at Kern High School District was particularly rewarding, allowing me to share my knowledge and passion for graphic arts, video production, and 3D animation with aspiring creatives. This experience underscored the importance of education and mentorship in the arts, something I hold very dear.
My work with Hasbro Toys, particularly leading the branding redesign for the entire My Little Pony toy line and developing marketing collateral for blockbuster movies and toy lines, showcases my ability to handle large-scale projects with creativity and precision. Additionally, my contributions to Lyric Culture and TOKYOPOP Inc. have allowed me to explore the intersection of graphic design with music and pop culture, further diversifying my portfolio and creative approach.
