About Isabel

I am a Master of Social Work graduate with professional experience supporting individuals and families in complex and high-risk situations. I currently work in a role supporting victims, and have previous experience as a family violence practitioner, where I provided emotional support, safety planning and practical assistance to women and children.
During my studies, I completed placements in both disability support and sexual assault counselling, which strengthened my understanding of trauma-informed practice and person-centred care. These experiences have given me strong skills in communication, empathy and supporting individuals with diverse needs.
I am passionate about helping students feel more confident in their abilities, particularly when it comes to academic writing and understanding course content. I aim to create a supportive and non-judgemental learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills.
