About Hadley
My teaching approach focuses on building a strong connection between what you hear and what your hands play. I emphasise ear–hand coordination, helping you learn songs accurately and develop musical independence. We explore alternate tunings to expand your creative possibilities and deepen your understanding of the instrument. I incorporate songwriting into lessons, guiding you to express your ideas and develop your own style. Digital effects and pedals are also part of my teaching, so you can shape your tone and bring your music to life. I pay close attention to technique, ensuring precision and musicality in every style. Whether you aim to master intricate classical pieces or lead expressive worship sessions, I adapt lessons to support your goals. I focus on building confidence, control, and emotional expression while maintaining strong fundamentals. My method is patient, structured, and tailored to each student’s pace. I encourage consistent practice with meaningful exercises that reinforce skills and creativity. Lessons are interactive, engaging, and designed to make learning enjoyable. Together, we develop a well-rounded guitar skill set that lasts a lifetime. Every student is welcome, and I celebrate all paths in music.

I am a passionate guitar tutor with 9 years of experience, dedicated to teaching visually impaired and differently-abled students. My approach centres on accessibility, ensuring that every learner can fully engage with music. I hold a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus on guitar, which equips me with strong technical and pedagogical skills. I use tactile notation to help students physically interact with music, making reading and understanding scores more intuitive. Audio cue training is another key part of my lessons, sharpening listening skills and building independence. I also emphasise strong rhythmic development, as rhythm forms the foundation of expressive playing. I believe that music should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or background. My teaching is patient, adaptive, and focused on each student’s unique needs. I encourage creativity, confidence, and a love for learning in every lesson. My passion lies in breaking barriers and creating inclusive learning spaces. Together, we explore music in ways that are empowering and enjoyable. Everyone deserves the joy of playing guitar.
