About Katie
I am passionate about teaching Mathematics and have 30 years experience in both the NSC and the IEB.
My aim is to inspire each student with a growth mindset when it comes to studying Mathematics. Practice and hard work pay off. I teach students the content, skills and techniques so that they have the tools to practice and to become the best they can in the subject. Each student, no matter what level they are at, matters to me and I meet them at their level and inspire them to become better!

In a typical lesson I will assess which topic/concept the student needs help with. I will teach/revise the important concepts and practice these in basic problems. As confidence grows we will apply the knowledge to higher level and test/exam type questions.
My aim is for a student to feel relaxed during lessons and to be comfortable to ask questions ( there is no such thing as a silly questions - all questions are relevant for a student's understanding)
Closer to tests and exam we will revise all concepts and work through past papers so that students know what to expect and how to approach assessments.
