About Autumn
I am a Biology tutor with over 4 years of experience and hold an MSc in Biotechnology. My true passion lies in marine biology, especially the fascinating and unique ecosystems of the deep sea. I have spent years exploring the wonders of hydrothermal vents, where life thrives in extreme conditions. The glowing beauty of bioluminescence and the incredible adaptations of deep-sea creatures never cease to amaze me. Teaching allows me to share these wonders with my students and inspire their curiosity. I guide them through the complexities of biodiversity and ecological processes found in these mysterious ocean depths. Understanding how life survives and evolves in such harsh environments is both challenging and exciting. I help students grasp the science behind ocean exploration and the technological hurdles involved. Together, we uncover how much remains unknown about our planet’s largest habitat. I believe that studying the deep sea teaches us about resilience and the incredible diversity of life. My teaching approach in Biology is nurturing, personalized, and rooted in helping students build a genuine appreciation for the natural world—especially plant life. With a background in regulatory expertise and chemical engineering, I bring a broader perspective to lessons that link biology with real-world challenges and solutions. I help learners see the connection between plant science and environmental health.
