About Hugo
I'm a first year Maths student and I've got a lot of experience with Maths. I achieved A* in both maths and further maths. I also completed the STEP paper over the summer, due to unfortunate circumstances with my health I missed my cambridge offer with a 3,3 in papers 2 and 3. I achieved gold in both UKMT maths challenges in year 11 and year 13. I got a 9 in my maths gcse. I helped tutor my friends for A-level maths and further maths. I tutored my brother for his gcse as he wasnt getting good grades and he managed to achieve a 9
with my help.

I use a range of examples to help you understand problems of various natures, the thinking that leads you to the correct answer, and mathematical intuition that can often be the saving factor in an exam.
I will continuously challenge your thinking ability during the course of the lesson, ensuring you understand the problem at hand. If you appear stuck I will give hints on how to proceed, not too helpful, but not too helpless. Additionally, communication will not be an issue: I understand how people work and am an extroverted person.
