About Matthew
I started making movies 20 years ago when I wrote my first script - which became my first movie AND my first distribution deal. Not long after, I moved to Hollywood (with three kids, a wife and a dream) and built my career in developing, producing, writing and directing movies, TV, commercials, music video, etc. When my children went to college, I moved to Africa - where I taught, mentored and coached young aspiring artists there - and built my practice of teaching and coaching writers, filmmakers, artists and creatives around the globe.

I work with the needs of individuals. That said, I like to start with setting up a system that supports each writer/creator. Learning how to make a movie or write a movie is one thing - but actually doing it is another. We work on both the creative and the practical side - as creativity stuck in your head are merely ideas, but not actually creating/writing.
If you put in the work, 10 sessions will get your guided through your first script or short film production. We start with the basics and move through there.
For more experienced creators, we will go more in depth in the areas you need help, whether that's character development, voicing, dialogue, breaking story, etc.

My lessons are between 45 mins and 90 mins- all at the same hourly price. Since I will also spend time reading your work when we're not on the call, the hourly includes my reading time and making notes on your drafts. Buy 10 lessons, get 15% off.
