I’ve attended Oxford’s leading independent schools to secure top A-Level grades and become just one of 3 in my very large year to attend LSE as an undergraduate. I am patient, and since I grapple with advanced maths within my degree, I have a rigorous understanding of the fundamentals of maths, and am therefore very well equipped to tutor others

I expect my pupils to be proactive in their learning, so in a typical lesson it would be the norm for the pupil to bring me questions which they would like to attempt with my help. The intellectual development of my pupils is my top priority, so more often than not they would have to genuinely attempt the question themselves before turning to me for help, in which case I would be more than happy to give them hints or pointers. If these hints or pointers aren’t fruitful, then I would tell my pupil the answer and explain each step of the process. I am also happy for pupils to bring me answers to questions which they don’t understand, and ask me to explain how to get to this answer
