About Johan

Hi, I'm Johan. I'm a Law graduate from the London School of Economics, and I teach English the way I would want to learn it myself - through real and engaging conversation.

I believe the fastest way to improve is to talk about things you actually care about - the books you're reading, the films you watch, the music you sing along to.

That's where I'll hear exactly how you speak, and exactly where you need support - whether that's a dropped article ("a," "an," "the"), a mixed-up tense ("I have seen that movie" when you mean to say "I saw it"), or a verb agreement that trips you up.

From there, I'll give you targeted exercises to reinforce grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.

My goal is simple: to leave you speaking with a little more confidence every class.

About the lesson

Your first lesson with me will be a relaxed conversation where I get to know you - your interests, your goals, and where your English tends to slip.

From there, every lesson will use your hobbies as conversational material, as well as targeted exercises to fix exactly what you need.

My goal every lesson isn't to just "have a chat with you in English." It's to leave you with a little more confidence, better grammar, sharper vocabulary, and more joy when speaking.
