About Will
I am a passionate teacher with a wide range of experience. I have taught Philosophy in schools and online for many years and have a Masters Degree in Philosophy from Birkbeck. I have also been a researcher and contributor for the New Philosopher magazine. Having lived in Mexico, Turkey and Zimbabwe I have a good understanding of different cultures and languages. I can make Philosophy fun and exciting as well as clear and concise. I think a good teacher is someone that is always ready to learn more at the same time as teaching.
I have taught Philosophy to young adults in State Schools, Private Schools and Home School settings. I have taught adults in formal 1-1 tutoring lessons as well as informally in a monthly group I set up called Philosophy in the Pub. I have taught students online for well over a year helping Graduates, Post Graduates and PhD students alike.
I also have extensive experience helping complete beginners to the topic. I do this by having 1-1 less formal discussions with students, offering them stimulating and original readings and videos to support their learning journey.

I have 2 years of tutoring online and 7 years teaching in schools. I have experience tutoring a full range of students, from GCSE's all the way up to Masters students so I am confident I will be able to help you. I much prefer to teach 1 - 1 which suits my dialogue based approach to teaching
Each course of lessons will be bespoke, based on your aims and what you want to get out from a course of lessons with me and we can get this set up in the first free 30 min lesson.
I have loved philosophy as a subject my whole life and would love to share my passion with you
