Looking for high school students to tutor! I’m a 20 year old dental student at Otago University, I graduated IB with 40 points in May 2020 with a 7 in English. I have 5+ years of tutoring experience.

About Anusha
I’m in my second year of university at Otago, and I completed Health Sciences First Year in 2021. I was lucky enough to make it into all the programs I wanted and chose dentistry, which I am currently enjoying very much.
I grew up in Christchurch, and did after school care and tutoring through my high school as a junior student. I began NCEA level 1 but moved to Sweden and completed 3 years of an IB program there. While overseas I tutored my classmates in many subjects semi-professionally and volunteered as well, co-founding and organizing a language studio for refugee students at my school to learn English. I taught group lessons and did individual tutoring through this, and made quite a few friends too!
Since graduating I have been professionally tutoring high school and beginner level English through a company and privately for two years.

Getting personalized help from someone who was recently in your position is one of the best ways to learn and improve. I have tutored over 50 students and I’ve seen each and every one of them succeed with whatever task we were working on, and in doing so, develop skills to carry forwards to university.
In lessons, I typically help you with whatever assignment you are currently working on, and provide supplementary knowledge relating to what you are learning in class at the moment. Alternatively, I can provide texts for us to analyze together and teach concepts with my own mini-curriculum.
Lessons are usually 1 hour in duration and can be weekly or biweekly, depending on your preference.
