About Anqi
I am a First Class Mathematics graduate from King’s College London, educated within the UK academic system. Having achieved A* in A-Level Mathematics and Grade 9 in GCSE Maths, I have a strong understanding of both the subject and the structure of the UK examination system.
I have experience tutoring and previously volunteered at a local secondary school. Throughout my studies, I have regularly supported peers by explaining complex topics clearly and breaking down difficult problems into manageable steps.
My teaching focuses on building both exam technique and genuine understanding. I aim to help students improve their grades while developing confidence and independent problem-solving skills.
I am organised, patient and professional in my approach, and each lesson is tailored to the individual student’s needs.

My lessons are carefully structured to build both exam performance and genuine mathematical understanding.
Rather than focusing purely on memorising methods, I guide students to understand the logic behind each topic — why a formula works, how questions are structured, and how examiners design mark schemes. This allows students not only to “do the question”, but to think independently and approach unfamiliar problems with confidence.
I adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs. For students aiming to improve grades, we focus on:
• Mastering key GCSE exam techniques
• Identifying weak topics through targeted practice
• Building problem-solving confidence
• Learning how to structure answers for maximum marks
At the same time, I aim to spark curiosity and enjoyment in mathematics, helping students see patterns and connections rather than viewing maths as a list of procedures.
