My teaching philosophy centers on hands-on, project-based, and skills-focused learning. I offer feedback to highlight strengths and identify areas for improvement. Lessons are tailored to specific goals, aligning with standards while considering individual interests and learning styles.
Armed with dual Masters of Science degrees in Urban Education and School Building Leadership, I bring 17+ years of experience in education, with 12 specializing in teaching, intervention, and tutoring (K-5 [all subjects], bilingual-Spanish, adult ESL). I've volunteered as a tutor for grades 3-8 after school. As a Reading Coach, I helped students and teachers master the Science of Reading. I am certified in Childhood Education, Students With Disabilities, and Bilingual Education-Spanish.
