About Kornelia

I obtained my BA in Applied Linguistics/TESL at Brock University and an MA in Applied Linguistics at Universidad de Guadalajara. I have taught children and teens in Mexican private schools as well as adult students from all over the world. I am happy to adapt my classes to suit your needs and learning style preferences.

About the lesson

I am a linguist and language teacher with a BA from Brock University and an MA from Universidad de Guadalajara (Mexico). I have spent a total of 5 years living in Mexico and have experience teaching students of all ages and levels. I adapt my classes to each student's needs, goals, and level, and I use a variety of materials in my classes. I can teach general Spanish classes or focus on aspects such as test preparation, business, conversation, grammar, and more! I also offer linguistics classes in English or Spanish.

I highly recommend Kornelia as a language teacher because of her commitment, academic background, and exceptional multilingual and multicultural experience. Kornelia is a trustworthy person with strong ethics and a genuine passion for teaching.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and a Master's in Applied Linguistics, which give her a solid foundation to teach languages effectively, adapting to different learning styles. On a personal level, I can vouch for her skills as an educator: thanks to her guidance, I was able to reach a B2 level on the IELTS exam, starting from almost nothing. Her patience, clarity, and ability to motivate students truly set her apart.

Kornelia has lived in Mexico for the past five years, which has allowed her to reach a full C2 level in Spanish—speaking fluently and without an accent. She also deeply understands the challenges Spanish speakers face when learning English.
