About Lincoln
For me, dance is way more than just movement—it's a language that can only be understood within the context of the performance and its audience. Every time there is a creative task at hand it is not for the self-gratification of the individual performing or the satisfaction of the audience members, but rather an explanation of this language. My goal is to help you understand movement and choreograph in a way that makes this translation as easy as possible. TRAINING University of Southern California (USC) - Kaufman School of Dance May 2026 August 2022 - • Ballet - Professors Fiona Lummis, James Ady, Jackie Kopcsak, Bruce McCormick, and Ebony Haswell Frazier. • Contemporary - Professors Bret Easterling, Jennifer Lott, and Kyle Abraham. • Hip Hop - d. Sabela Grimes and E. Moncell Durden The Chicago Academy for the Arts High School (CAA) - Dance August 2018-2022 Graduated May 2022 • 5-7 hours of ballet training a week under teachers Patrick Simoniello, Natalie Rast, and Meredith Dincolo (includes Pas de Deux). • 3 hours of Jazz training a week instructed by Randy Duncan. • 3 hours of Graham technique training a week under Debbie Goodman. • Studied Works - Repertory Contemporary Performed - Rena Butler, Brian Brooks, Sidra Bell, Jermaine Spivey, Spencer Theberge, Wayne McGregor, Antoine Veraaken, Roderick George, Tessandra Chavez, Jonathan Alsbery, and Bret Easterling Modern Works- Martha Graham, Paul Taylor, and Bill T. Contemporary - Techniques and movement qualities based on the shifting of weight and the understanding of the body. Let's talk about the old and the new ages of contemporary and how to get you, as the student, to the point of confidence whether it's in auditions or in practice! Choreography - Choreographic Strategies and Movement Generation. Gain knowledge based on my choreographic mentors and inspirations. Teachings inspired by from Bret Easterling (Batsheva), Rena Butler, and Kyle Abraham.
