About Simion
My enthusiasm for music was visible even from childhood, being very natural to express myself throughout music. I pursued my dream and I attended the National College of Music back home in Romania, where I studied piano for 8 years. Afterwards, I did a bachelor’s degree in singing at National Academy of Music Bucharest. During university I was employed at George Enescu Philharmonic Choir and “Banatul” state Philharmonic Choir, where I was making music at a great level. Currently I am studying singing at Royal Academy of Music, and I am a member of Philharmonia Chorus. Having the opportunity to work with professional Choirs in well renewed concert halls as Royal Albert Hall, Barbican and Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam gave me a clear image of how music in made and what is the standard by covering a wide range of works; most important being:
• Carl Orff – Carmina Burana
• Verdi – Requiem & Messa di Gloria
• Mahler Symphonies 2, 5 & 8
• Beethoven – Symphony 9
• Handel – Messiah
• Dvorak – Stabat Mater
• Mozart – Coronation Mass & Requiem
• Wagner – Parsifal
• John Williams – Star Wars Suite
Furthermore, as for my solo career (being a Tenor), I have approached repertoire for Operatic/Classical singing, such as:
• Mozart’s Requiem
• Monteverdi’s Vesperae
• Haydn’s Missa Gabrielis
• Handel’s Messiah
• Verdi’s Messa di Gloria
• Dvorak’s Stabat Mater

I like to engage people to discover more about the beauty of classical music throughout my academic education and my practical experience background. I am a very enthusiastic person, who cares to share the passion for music. It is my duty to pass the learning that I have received from great teachers/soloists across my path and my journey as a musician. I like to encourage students to approach their fears by discovering their strengths and working on them by trying to bring their strengths also into the uncomfortable/weak areas.
