About Pooja
Hi there! My name is Pooja and I am a second-year undergraduate student at McMaster University. In high school, I won the math and science award at graduation and was actively involved in numerous clubs and sports teams. Even from my elementary school years, I have always loved to teach. This summer I even created my own teaching program where I taught the children of front-line workers in an effort to thank them for all their incredible work during this pandemic. Alongside traditional academics, I am a big advocate for positive mental health and working towards stress-free learning!

My teaching methodology is surrounded around my student. Every single person learns differently, and I believe as a tutor it is our job to find a technique that helps them learn to the best of their abilities. For example, if the student has a passion for hockey it may be beneficial to explain the algebra problem in terms of a hockey match. I have found that this type of teaching not only helps to increase understanding but also makes students more interested in learning!
