About Sarah
I've always loved learning and teaching, and with every life and career change I incorporated those values as much as I could. I have experience working with many different learning disabilities, and having ADHD myself I'm able to pivot and maneuver with the changing focus and energy that it brings.
I firmly believe that in order to inspire others to learn and guide them along, I must listen more than I speak. I let students explain what they're doing, where they want to go and where they're getting stuck, and work with them so that they can discover an approach that is sustainable over time.

I bring 10 years of teaching experience in social sciences and English as well as 2 years of tutoring in legal studies. I am a licensed Paralegal in Ontario and hold an honours degree in Sociology as well as diplomas in Paralegal Studies (Seneca College), Food and Nutrition (Centennial College) and Holistic Nutrition (Institute of Holistic Nutrition). I am a certified Montessori teacher as well.
As someone with ADHD and Autism, I understand the challenges students with disabilities face in their educational journeys. As such, every session is tailored to the needs and learning styles of my student and I often use or suggest tools that I developed in my education and career to achieve success. During our first meeting, we will discuss what makes you want to learn about a subject and what your roadblocks are so we can come up with a plan perfect for you!
To maintain the most flexibility possible in my schedule, I currently only offer Zoom or Teams sessions. Sessions can be 30 mins or 60 mins in duration, but if you need extra time just let me know!
