I think the most important aspect of education is the relationship between teachers and students. I have taught middle school for two years and developed strong relationships with my students. Prior to teaching middle school, I worked in youth development at the YMCA for six years during the summers.

I can adapt my lessons to a learner's individual style. I am most familiar with problem-based learning (learning through solving complex problems) and explicit instruction (I do, you do approach).
I have the CPM curriculum with textbooks across the field of mathematics, including algebra, algebra II, and geometry. I also have experience creating lesson plans from scratch and adapting to different ability levels.
I am comfortable tutoring students from K-12, and I am open to tutoring college students depending on the subject.
