About Me
Hello! I’m Ivy, a passionate and dedicated Math tutor with a background in Math Education and more than 10 years of experience providing online Math tutoring.
Over the years, I have worked with students at different levels and with different learning needs. This experience has taught me that students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are given explanations that match their level and learning style.
I am patient, approachable, and committed to helping students understand Math rather than simply memorize formulas or procedures. I break challenging topics into simple, manageable steps and provide plenty of guided practice to help students build accuracy, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
Whether you need help with homework, want to strengthen your Math fundamentals, are preparing for an exam, or are struggling with a particular topic, I am here to help you make Math clearer and more manageable.
My goal is to create a positive learning environment where every student can feel confident, improve their skills, and discover that Math can be easier and more enjoyable with the right guidance.

My Teaching Approach
I believe that every student can learn Math with the right guidance, patience, and teaching approach. With more than 10 years of experience in online Math tutoring and a background in Math Education, I focus on making lessons clear, engaging, and easy to understand.
My Teaching Methods
I use a student-centered approach where I first identify the student’s strengths, learning gaps, and areas that need improvement. I explain concepts step-by-step using simple examples, visual representations, practice exercises, and real-life applications whenever appropriate. I also encourage students to ask questions and explain their solutions so I can help them develop both accuracy and confidence.
A Typical Lesson
Each lesson usually begins with a short review of previous topics or prerequisite skills. I then introduce the new concept, demonstrate examples step-by-step, and guide the student through practice problems. As the lesson progresses, I gradually allow the student to solve problems independently while providing support when needed. We finish with a quick review of the key concepts and areas to practice.
What Sets Me Apart
My goal is not simply to help students get the correct answer but to help them understand why the answer is correct. I am patient, approachable, and willing to explain a concept in different ways until the student understands it. I adapt my lessons to each student’s pace and learning style while helping them become more independent and confident problem-solvers.
