About Shannon
I’m a licensed educator with over 15 years of experience teaching math and science at the middle school, high school, and AP levels. I’ve taught AP Calculus, AP Pre-Calculus, AP Biology, and Honors Biology, and I hold a Master’s degree in Neuroscience and Cognitive Sciences. I’m currently completing my M.Ed. in Special Education at George Mason University, where I’m deepening my expertise in supporting diverse learners. I specialize in helping students break through frustration and build real understanding. Whether it’s preparing for a big test, catching up in class, or developing executive functioning skills, I tailor every lesson to the student’s unique learning style. I believe every student can succeed with the right strategies and the right teacher.
